A Rainy Day Rant
I was bringing in my groceries in the pouring rain. My efforts to stay dry were just in vain. Trip after trip I made, and I got soaking wet. Then a thought came to mind I wanted to forget. My ex used to bring in all the groceries from the car. That was a lifetime ago, a memory from afar. Now that the thought had crept in my mind, I became infuriated by his act so kind. I was thoroughly drenched, and it was all his fault! That recollection was not worth a grain of salt. I muttered under my breath in a cathartic rant. I would not dare repeat, nor would I recant! I felt much better after I put on dry clothes. A good rant is good for the soul I suppose. My ex was forgotten as I enjoyed my day. The sun came out later, chasing memories away. 6/8/17 Contest No. 330 Brian Strand sponsor
