It was near zero out, and he was hanging on to the trusses for all he was worth. He knew he would be hurt if he fell to the cold, hard earth. He dug in his pocket, and miraculously found his cell phone. He frantically called his wife to come save him… he was all alone! In the meantime he dangled from the trusses like a puppet on a string. His fingers were going numb, and he couldn't feel anything. I got the call and scrambled for my clothes and boots, Running through the snowy woods to save him before he came loose. He saw me and yelled "Hurry, hurry I can't hold on." The cold had taken its toll...his strength was gone. I grabbed the ladder and put it under him just in time. Each frigid minute dangling had been like a lifetime. He was exhausted and ecstatic to be back on the ground. Now all he wanted was to be homeward bound. He gave me a big hug, and gladly left the work for another day. Thank God for cell phones, and for hearing him pray. We trudged through the snow back to our warm place, And thanked God for His blessings, we had by His grace.
