The Askance Chapter 1 Part 5a
The Forbidden Enigma Before, had the light of day been long Yet afore, the dark of the night is only just beginning Perhaps some thought isn’t simply anyhow to be born And even so, some dreams when awake is still lingering I remember seeing darkness where there is light I remember hearing voices within my drowsy mind However, it was only till tranquility comes the night When finally, the awaited was engifted the awakening time Already, it was months ago since it occur The iris green, I’ve since so confidently dismissed away Fearing no more, of that the enigmatic encounter Yet overly indulgence had welcome in turn, dismay The air seems heavier amidst my room Shadows amongst silence, amplifying beyond anticipation The hallucinatory moment, settles about too soon Far too comprehensive maybe, for one’s comprehension I can see, yet I can see not! With the music fading away to barely a whisper A time once again to welcome devil’s thought Where both nothing and everything upon, seems forever {Soft and eerie, gentle… almost lovingly The lunatic voices of the children hymns outwardly Blackness as before has darkness to return And as clear to see, promising certainty in turn Should the chanting be a moment more? An outcry for those who feel should sorrows pour I’m sadden, yet without tears to tear Even so, the captivating eyes appears frowning, almost in fear And to each a row, they form where a path lies along An acknowledgement when all fell silent to the pair of green flaring strong}
