Losses Best Avoided
Some losses can be sustained , And written off as collateral damage, So we can live to fight another day, And Love can still flourish without them. Other losses can not be written off so lightly, And our only hope is to regain what we lost, If we want peace of mind and the ability to Love again. The loss of respect, will cost you friends, And Pity will be reflected in the countenance of all you meet. The loss of trust will make it difficult to Love or be Loved. The loss of Dignity will keep you away from the company you crave. And even make you a little depraved. So any loss of integrity will turn that little into a lot. Motivation once lost, will take away any energy you have left and getting out of Bed will be your biggest acheivement of the day. Willpower once lost, can only be got back in a wrestling match with another. As we think on what the loss of any one of these would mean to us, We should do our best to not be the cause of their loss in others, Or if we admit to being only human, To give back what we have taken.
