-wander-
Daily Poetry #65, April 3, 2017 Word: Wander Over many miles, Mountains and thrills. Rivers long dried, And broken hills. This place with nothing, But you’ve made something: Me. Am I worthy to wander? To search for anything? “Are you there?” I ask, Looking up from this desolate place. “Is anyone there?” I ask, Crying out to the empty space. Taking many steps, Watching the sun rise and set. With no stars in the empty sky, With a gamble, you made your bet. If I wander for hundreds of years, Will you be there at the end of the road? Without a proper memory and no way to dream, I wander aimlessly, as that’s what I’ve been told. Will there come a day where I can stop? When my wandering will be complete? While the rain falls, I call for you, “When will we finally meet?” “Hello to the Earth, which crumbles with age! Hello to the sky, which has no stars to shine! Hello to the world, which is empty without life! Hello to you, the one thing in this memory of mine!” “Goodbye to the Earth, which bursts with life! Goodbye to the sky, which is finally bright! Goodbye to the world, which will flourish without me! Hello to you, my only Master, who has taken flight!”
