Waiting
* What lies between each moment are more moments, more seconds passing by, ticked out by time. Labyrinths wait for you, a passage back, to find the portal home. Peace and quiet hide beneath the seconds, wait on the calm in turn, for their return. Wait Interim intervals last forever, gone Continuous time slows to a random crawl Comes to a stop at stations end Some villagers take pleasure in town Doing something all the time, they walk As a distraction, a conclusion to it all From a distance stands the labyrinth Watched in silence by the crowd Not a sound from anyone around Over there, walls tower to be observed Stand outside simply to be seen Eternally in their place they do not move For hours on end nothing happens At the same time more time passes Like something from the past Going nowhere with stationary thoughts Displaced by motions interim intervals More people come, expect delays Abide by nature's late departures Some sit outside for hours on end Others standing still suspended in space They stand for something real The end is near but still we stay So much waiting to be done Where will we find the time There is nothing else to do We wait here like our parents in vigilance Continue to do what we do best in silence Hide between the cracks of time delayed For more lost intervals to come our way
