So, I’m just a wondering where I’m being led, is this romantic lightness or something to dread? It all lies before us now, a clean slate of time. There are no injuries, no scars, no hurts of yours or mine. So, as your face again fades and I think of plans we’ve made, I sink into my pillow wondering if good dreams will be played. What of this heart of mine, should I put it on trial? Should I allow pain in so I might have the smile?
