Mama Vomited Me
I came into the world of my own but the world received me not Mama pinched my cheeks violently slapped and expelled me and threw me in dustbin of rot I wept and gnashed my teeth called for my father in vain to those passing near I shouted But none responded to the cry dogs, foxes ate me for breakfast Discarded and abused before birth, I ask; why did Mama conceive me? Why was I rubbish in her womb? Why not give me a chance to live? But only echoes responded to me! I see my name in the book of life Like humans I’m entitled to life my stake in the world waits for me Yet this world denied me rights Mama vomited me saying; “Back to hell!” We, aborted ones dangle on clouds up crying for life denied, life betrayed we observe selfish humans on earth busy with selfish and merciless life Yes. We go back but the scar remains
