Deja Vu
Deja Vu by Andy Jarvis History repeats itself, Or so the saying goes. But generations come and go, And no ones left that knows. All the world powers from Babylon To the Empire of America, Have used the sword to get their way Not just Hitler and his swastika. It’s the fascists that write the history That they teach your kids in school A sanitized version of events They’re treating you like fools. Some say Hitler was a good guy He only wanted what’s best. Germany was prospering So why care about the rest? He gave them all the Autobahn, And a family car to ride So, Hitler was a family man He must ‘ve been good inside! And when he burnt down his Reichstag On a cold dark winters night He gave them what they wished for, Another reason for a fight. Rid the world of the commies, they cried The Gypsy and the Jew But today they cry out terrorist, And the one that’s shouting’ is you! Where were you on that fateful day When those towers turned to dust? Their commander sat in 3rd grade class Is his the face that you trust? He says that he’s a Christian His mission sent from heaven I think it’s time he took a look At Luke 6 verse 27 Slavery is alive and well, And supporting’ your economy In the sweat shops of the 3rd world Tucked away where you cannot see. And their farmers have to grow your drugs They’re givin’ you your fix. They’ll kill their ‘hopes’ to keep it so The CIA and their dirty tricks. Guns are the weapon choice of the coward Not the heroes like they tell ya’ Billy the Kid committed homicide Whilst his country was built on Genocide Are these the boys you want on your side? African American, Hispanic, Male or female They’ll put you in their front lines While their sons go off to Yale. They just want to clean up the mess you see, Put the people in their proper place They’ll tell them their ‘America’s Finest’ And bury them in a ‘sacred’ place When will you see the reality? When will the light come on in your head? When your ‘battlegrounds’ ruined beyond repair And everyone else long dead? What would you say to Christ on that day If he came knocking on your door? Would you grab your 12 gauge off the wall And blast and scream some more? Who’s behind things anyhow? Who’s to blame for the things that you’ve seen? Just open your bible and read what it says, 1st John Chapter 5 verse 19 A.Jarvis May 2005
