-content-
-Daily Poetry #3, January 31, 2017- Word: Content In your face that I swear I once knew from the past, I saw myself and all of the things we were before. “I want to tell you something,” but that's just a lie, Because I know I could never talk to you anymore. The humble and timid you was the cutest sight, And now that I see it, what am I to do with what I know? But now that questions arise and tension as well, As you asked, where am I to go? I say that the thread connecting all of us is cut, And the heart that squeezes so tightly is broke. He will pry from me and now I wonder, though you'll never know, What voice will I cry out in? Though it's just his joke. The happy and smiling you was the cutest sight, But as I adjust my glasses, I see that your smile isn't for me. But now as questions arise and the tension as well, The tears staining my face makes it hard to see. “Hate, hate,” but I wonder when it'll be “like,” Seeing that he continues to pry at your heart. Knowing now of this true you, I can't help but stare, You are the cutest when you smile, and I don't know where to start. In all of the emotions you would never express yourself, I doubted that it was all happiness, joy, and glee. Now that we're both grasping onto true emotions, I want you to smile, and I want you to promise me. In the places that he never could reach, I want to teach you how to love like you did before. No matter how you were “loved” in your past, We should be happy forever more. You should be happy and continue to smile.
