New Loves So Brief and Untrue
I am constantly searching for that love different from old loves, starting over and hoping it can last without the urge to seek and find! It has been quite a few years spent in dire loneliness, giving up on dreams... laying down and staring at moonlight: dreaming of passionate nights that faded away, never to be recaptured by memory! Oh, fate so unfair and merciless: don't hold me in captivity! Let me escape to yesterday and relive each joyful moment I lost to foolishness and greed... is this why you punish me so harshly? Before bright morning comes, create that image of illusion with wisps of fog rising from the warm grass; there we lay and dreamt of a happy tomorrow! If what's left of these lonely days could render me one wish: to have that old love back... rather than seek out new loves so brief and untrue; wouldn't I be happier than the luckiest man?
