'the Reason Why'
I walked around the halls of school in constant fear Considering I had no friends; My foes were always near Harassed daily, abused physically and mentally I just never fit in; and in the world of teenagers, that's the ultimate sin.. Never feeling comfortable in my own skin and so, my resentment to the world and thirst for revenge did begin A year or two later..and I somberly stumble thru the many corriders leading to one of many offices As I pass co-workers casually chatting; Not a single, 'Good morning', not even a 'hey' whispered my way No, they wont even speak; Tired of feeling weak..I think it may be time to adopt a mean streak How weak would they feel and how strong would I; If I walked into work tomorrow morning and made them my hostages? Feeling totally worthless without a single purpose..I would wager if I were gone I would not be missed I believe it is time to put my foot down..with a super-sharp knife, a few grenades, and a fully automatic rifle with spare rounds The very next morning: I wake up at 7 A.M via my alarm clock per my usual routine.. I make a pot of coffee and relaxingly skim thru the newspaper as I always do But this morning; I feel purpose and I feel nirvana I load my supplies into my car and start to drive..feeling complete peace; only momentarily interuppted by the passing sirenes This mission will be carried out by any means; 'They'll never mess with me again,' a voice inside my head screams As I walk towards the entrance of the buidling of the business I work for I smile and slip into a state of day-dreaming bliss while the bag containing my supplies unzips
