Read the Signs
I once knew a world so happy and carefree with latte foam clouds melting into caramel sunsets, spread out before me with eagerly awaiting arms. Now all I see is a “Do Not Enter” sign full of regrets. I once knew a mind intelligent and quick, witty and thoughtful, filled with joy and sass, examining each thought like a crystal prism. Barefoot, I step with care, “Caution Broken Glass.” I once knew a heart beating like roaring thunder, strong but gentle, unselfishly looking for some one to care, racing on the highest fastest roller coaster of emotion, but now this ride is “Indefinitely Closed for Repair.” I once knew a gentle soul full of openness and curiosity reading life like an open book with well worn pages, out loud for everyone to hear and read along. “This Page Intentionally Left Blank,” my life now presages. I once knew a man strong if not handsome living a life in his fantasy world, always there but always apart. He was enchanted by the smile of a beautiful princess but “Restricted Area, No Trespassing” was stamped on her heart. 01-07-17
