Corporate policies drive the machine and the answer lies in the picture book. Great emphasis put on consistency, resulting in robotic behavior that is rewarded. Individuality is highly discouraged. In matching uniforms to represent a company; divided into groups and stereotyped. A job well done is expected without acknowledgement but mistakes are called out from the other side of the window. Two faced co-workers throw you under the bus and get tongue tied when confronted. It's obvious that their own insecurities drive such behavior. The bigger person feels compassion.
