The Day After Christmas
Yippee, the day after Christmas is here. It is my favorite day of the whole year, always dawning a playtime atmosphere. I will brush my hair and also my teeth, but that is all routine will get from me. I refuse the Christmas clean-up process, preferring we frolic in our Christmas mess. All magic is still newness to happily digest. Today home is a family wonderland fest. Pajamas stay on, we have no need to dress. I treasure watching my family at play, making lifetime memories on this day. I excite watching my son rediscover Christmas’ gifts anew, one after the other. I love this day, it is an emotional upper. A joy-filled easiness fills our day’s air that hopefully the new year will share. In the kitchen are delicious bounties so we will graze on healthy and candy. Today, tasty has no need to be fancy. Always this day I do pause to wish all were blessed with a playful family frolic through their own mess. December 23, 2016 Contest: The Day After Christmas - Anthony Slausen
