Change
Now I know where my heart resides, It has taken me forever to change my sight, But in the midst of it all, God had a plan, I sat down through the chaos to understand, Alone was lonely, and held back words, Fear gripped my voice, choked up and unheard, Yet in the silence, a still small voice remembered, All the hearts love and joy to keep it together, The most humbling experience I've ever had, To reread and recapture to understand, Where did she go, and why did she leave??, I needed God to work on me... The why's are intentions to pay attention to, It's all about why you do what you do, When your intentions are questioned, you must search your heart, What brought you together, what tore you apart, Some say that's too analytical, just roll with the punches, Yet how many of us actually care enough to take the time to do this, Are we willing to see ourselves, and how we treat others, Love holds the key to the door that can open or shut this, Dear teacher, you don't know what you just did, You handed me keys in order to live, For inside I was dying a little each day, Stuck in mourning, I just came out today, I reached out in faith many years ago, Something you said in my heart gave me hope, I stepped out of character, I stepped out of conformity, My eyes opened wide, yet you thought I was the enemy, My heart was true, yet you couldn't hear, I'm thankful for the assumptions, I'm thankful for my tears, Running for my life wasn't running away, The light was not snuffed out, it became brighter that day,
