Nuthin' But a Leech Part Two
Nuthin' But A Leech (Part Two) By Roy Merritt But they must be on to somethin’ They sure got you people pegged And will rob you fools completely blind As easily as pullin' your leg And no telling if this pacifist Who told us “I really do like war” Doesn’t start sending your sons and daughters To fall on foreign shores So maybe gators isn’t what we see As they lounge on the Potomac’s beach Perhaps we’d be better served To call 'em nuthin' but a leech And there isn’t one among you Could not make me to understand Just how upset you were The president was a colored man And how the idea of a woman Occupying the West Wing Was somehow defying your God And absolutely insane So maybe gators isn’t what we see As they lounge on the Potomac’s beach Perhaps we’d be better served To call 'em nuthin' but a leech So spare me all this nonsense of draining that swamp of gators Of running out the special interest Of firing all these satyrs If you were slaves in antebellum In my native south You’d be the favored slaves To work up at the house So maybe gators isn’t what we see As they lounge on the Potomac’s beach Perhaps we’d be better served To call 'em nuthin' but a leech And don’t be surprised That before these villains are through They’ll bring some inconvenience Or worse grief to you But don’t expect you can go in the street To exercise your freedom to impugn Cos’ you’ll be labeled a terrorist And send off to your doom So maybe gators isn’t what we see As they lounge on the Potomac’s beach Perhaps we’d be better served To call 'em nuthin' but a leech Each and everyone of them Nuthin' but a leech
