Bling
Bling I predict that bling will stick, It has so many variations, It will be overdone, but still it’s fun To use easy for many connotations. Marilyn Monroe was bling herself, Maybe through and through, But Meryl Streep with her Prada bling, If on the street would be untrue. An opera singer might sing with bling, Necklaces, boas and such, I like a little bling myself, But am careful not to use too much. I think sparkle when I think bling, Annie in a sparkly little vest, Parading on a leash in the best dog show, With a bling crown on her head as the best. A politician might try to fool With conservative pin stripes and solid blue, But his true self would soon be betrayed, By the tassels on his alligator shoes. Should I want you to think I was very rich, I might rent a diamond for my neck, My bling might fool someone else, But not you, my friends, by heck. Bling or no bling can say what you are, Or it can be used to impress or deceive, Whether Christmas lights or starry nights, Bling’s here to stay, I believe.
