Santa Claws
SANTA CLAWS By Roy Merritt Johnny was a mean boy He grew meaner every day He grew meaner and meaner Despite the holiday Christmas was just ‘round the corner Music filled the air Smiles were on every face Kind words were often shared But Johnny was full of mischief He often gave one pause And it was upon that time We warned him of Santa Claws “Oh I’ve heard of him!” he said “A fat guy dressed in red Who gives out toys to little kids While flyin’ ‘round in a sled. He comes down the chimney His bag by his side And all for milk and cookies A bargain few would abide!” “Oh no not that one!” I spoke up there and then “I’m speaking of his brother His noxious evil twin. Now the nice one The one you spoke about The one you hear sometimes With the “Ho! Ho! Ho!” he shouts He’s pretty much a good guy Thinks givin’ toys to kids is keen But not to the bad ones Who work at being mean.” “So?” said Johnny. “Don’t mean much to me! I don’t really believe In Santa Claus you see!” “Well go ahead and take your chances.” I said. “Go ahead and think they’re lies. But don’t come cryin’ to me When Santa rips out your eyes! When this Santa comes to see you He’s apt to leave a mess Cos’ you see he spells his Name Santa C-L-A-W-S!”
