There Is Another Way
*To the violent protesters: Which person’s life may have been lost when you blocked traffic while they need medical help? Which car did you destruct as you smashed in windows, vandalized and took their transportation? Who is going to help heal the broken hearted child who lost his or her mother in law enforcement? Who is going to redeem the lost goods from looting and fix broken businesses that you damaged? All the while you are taking away people’s livelihood, their income, their way to survive this life? Why do you destroy the American flag that represents your freedom, protection with justice for all? Tell me what all this gives you? Tell me why you violate laws with no regard for others? Tell me exactly what you think all this will accomplish? As you destroy the very streets you walk and the communities in which you live, with your anger. Anger mishandled, misdirected at many people you never even met, knowing nothing about. This is not justice and it is certainly not love for your neighbor. Why would you want your voices heard like this? We hear you and now we must pick up the pieces. We can only hope that you will stop screaming long enough to realize there is another way, today.
