Bridge of Our Love
Within her heart and mine, we built a bridge of our love to cross the river of obstacles flowing beneath. It was utterly constructed with our bonding heartbeat. Our souls meet there in merriment to entwine in love. We greet each other with big bouquets of blossoming love and tie ribbons of our love prayers on its rails with wreath. Within her heart and mine... The pleasure of briefest moments that we shared in love are now the sweetest memories, exquisite love treat. Secured in cute love locks; affixed on rails in love's sheath. It's the bridge that has countless souvenirs of our love. Within her heart and mine... Date : 10/20/2016 Note : For the contest (Brief Memories) by FJ Thomas. Placed - Honorable Mention Form of the poem is Rondeau Prime. An isosyllabic 12 lines French form. Rhyme scheme - (Ra)bbaabR abbaR. R = repeated refrain and first half of first line.
