Working Water
His longing eyes turn to the skies  He hopes for long due miracle. The peacock's dance denies the drought,   his only foe.. his obstacle. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ She hands the card to yet one more And watches boats along the bay How suited to these changing times Is human's modern waterway! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ His worn out hands come up again And this time, nothing. Status Quo. He sighs and jumps into the blue.. If one must live, the other go. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Dripping, not so far away.. Unheeded taps cry mugs of tears. "A drop, a life." they seem to say.. "We shall pay back the worst of your fears". ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ And under the shades of mighty sea A storm is brewing, slow but strong. Each wasted droplet sings a song.. A song of fate for those who wrong. She makes her way, her raging waves destroy what dares to cross her path. The tides have turned.. but now's too late For sweet revenge.. our Nature's wrath. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
