Mind and Spirit:
Attempt I shall, to convey of my journeys to my sacred special safe place. A great form of meditation. For me personally, I choose to close my eyes and imagine my back up against a great Oak tree. Feeling and hearing the wind on my face. When I am comfortable, a door opens up in the tree's trunk allowing me in. I begin to climb downwards following the roots, and climbing through them. This takes quite a while as if the roots run downwards for miles. As I descend I begin to sense familiarity with the whereabouts I am in the roots. And suddenly, there it is, the door I have been searching for. It's a small door, just big enough for me to squeeze through. I open it and there is my special place. Sitting once again with my back on the great tree, feeling the serenity. (I am)You are one now with your environment, one with nature, one with the wind. See the fields with flowing grass, a few weeping willows next to a tiny brook off to the right a little. And a small Hawk in one of the willow trees. Sometimes I'll see a hare or rabbit pass by, and the Hawk watches on also. There is a forest of tall Rowans off to the far left, and mountains in the distant background. After I have had my rest, it is time to make the journey back through the tiny door and climb back up the roots until I reach the bigger door in the trunk. Then a few moments as I slowly open up my eyes back to your world. ~In the Ogham the Rowan tree is Luis, and the Willow is Saille. Merlin or Myrddin in Welsh is, of course, the Hawk.~ May the Awen flow through you~ /|\
