Saying Goodbye Before I Even Knew You
Fiction. I’m distraught I never got to meet you, But theres somethings you cant construe, Like how someone took us away from you, Before we even had the chance to know you. I didn't even get to find out if you’d grow into a lady or a man, Or entwine my fingers around your tiny hand, Even though you were completely loved and planned, Someone stole you from me, that I don't understand! I will never get to see your first steps or hear your first word, I wonder if Mumma would've been the first word that stirred. I’ll never get to see you in your uniform on your first day at school, I’ll never understand how life can be so cruel. I’ll never get to see you with your first love, And watch Daddy transform into the over protective one. I’ll never see you become the person you would be, Because before you took your first breath you were taken away from me.
