One Flew Over the Cuckoo Clock
Arriving all the way from the Black Forest which is somewhere in Germany, came a medium sized package, which was made out to me, inside the cardboard box was a beautiful cuckoo clock, which apparently I had won even though everyone had mocked, I looked at it and thought it cute while my husband acted like a little kid with a new toy, and when he wound it up and it started cuckoo-ing I thought he'd jump for joy, so it started to cuckoo every single hour, with the little animated cuckoo bird showing up expressing his power, the first week I heard the cuckoo clock every single time, especially when I was trying very hard to sleep or when trying to think of a rhyme, my husband snoring loudly as well which didn't help, I thought of myself as someone being serenaded by an orchestra from hell, when finally I arose sometime at night during the second week, feeling like a crazy woman from all the lack of sleep, going to my husbands locked cabinet where he kept his glock, I finally couldn't take it anymore and murdered my cuckoo clock!
