Sense of Sereanity
Sense of Sereanity The curtains hold the sunlight at bay Covers wrapped up around my insanity A lull, a tranquility, envelopes The paper bearing witness to my demons Verse upon verse of amours and confessions There in with the darkness of this cloaked room A sense of serenity As the knife stabs at my insanity Very black is I Gwydion and Hafgan Dance in the meadows of my mind Naked is the lost one Whose mind falls into the sea Serenity and Insanity embrace In naked harmony As strength ebbs and blood flows Fading from this Celtic world Alone and insane The last call of reality, over the horizon Oh Tegwen Note: This poem was inspired by Tim Smith's poem "Sense of Serenity" and the following discussion we had in the Poetrysoup chat room! Was great fun all who participated!
