Penn and Teller
Penn and Teller I wrote the notes clear as day So obvious I would not be here to stay On earthly lands with mortal souls They danced the nights as the stars have sung I knew my destiny was rope and hung The knife that cut my heart in two Twas really just words, shouted by you Words of pen, like a knights sword of thrust I was killed by the coldness and the lack of lust It’s I, with the darkness that did what I must Kicked the chair and bit the dust Notes to poem: This is a play on words with the names of one of my favorite magical acts, Penn and Teller. A dark topic, I would be curious if a few here get the word play, of course the notes themselves hint it, and I am leaving the notes here for 2 hours, so all 30,000 Soupers can read them! Ps: I love just about all of the poems from poets I have read here, thank you so much.
