I Didn'T Come To This Party For Wine and Cheese
I didn't come to this party for wine and cheese, I have another reason for showing up on time and looking very sharp. I am looking for a devoted sweetheart to hold and kiss at night, and whisper that something sweet she has never heard from anyone. And while others chat and laugh at their own jokes, we'll be smooching on that balcony overlooking the bay... where those palm trees sway. Amid shadows and kiss-shaped stars, I will surprise her with a four carat Black diamond ring I bought yesterday in LA; all I want to hear from her is , " I adore it. " Then I'll slide this ring on her finger. I didn't come to this party for wine and cheese, but to look for that lucky girl soon to be my bride; I like to see her reaction when I open the little box... will she smile and hug me? Will she let me be her groom? Written on 8/11/2016
