Uncle John's Rv
Way up in the hills past suburbia town lives my old Uncle John, who travels around on highways and byways on streets that slant sideways seeing those places that nobody sees traveling the roads in his '80's RV. Uncle John likes to visit those mom and pop towns where everyone's friendly, not rushing around where everyone knows who is who, where is where whether Sally still dates too tall Tom with red hair or where to have fresh apple pie, if you care. Uncle John likes to meet folks like Old Maid Mae who runs a ramshackle pink flamingo cafe that's filled to the brim with wall calendars galore and jars full of pickles she canned at the store. Then there's toothless Bill Bob, who lives on his boat that's been sitting in dry dock above Miller's moat folks wonder if Bill Bob's boat would ever float if a flood came, chances could be quite remote. Oh, the stories my old Uncle John can recite I could hear them all day, I could hear them all night when I beg him to go, he says someday I'll be old enough to travel with him in his '80's RV.
