Not a Diamond Than Love
With a flowing mane of a raven black hair His blue burning eyes Burning deep into her vein Twice and more he had come to her He had open his sag of diamonds Diamond and jewelries of the sun Poured at her feet for a show of his passion Tears of the moon gathered in his eyes Yet she turns her back in pains and tears Again in tears of genuine passion He told her his longing for her He'd promised riches and Glory "Take all and me" he said Hitherto she turned from him The diamonds and jewlries left to lay They lay on the grass and become flowers As she refused and turn from him Turning with hate and love Love so burning in her veins For she could only stick to her price of love Years had passed before he came the last time Yet again with bags of gifts Gifts so rich he had poured at her feet This time he spoke love to her Shimmering tears that could only be wiped with her hair She wept sour and in deep bitterness "It is now too late" my proud Prince For she now pledged her life for another Her price was love and never Never a bag of diamond than love. ©Michael Edison 18/5/016 @10:26am
