Avalanche
Avalanches They have no enemy Not an ounce of bloodlust No regret No discrimination between evening Day Night Neither the sun nor the moon And yet they are so reckless The nameless mountain, that frightful thing So quick to pulverise the living No reaction to the brooding look in the eyes of the elk Who promptly learns that Sometimes The killer does not have a weapon Or teeth Claws Not even a hungry stomach that needs to be satisfied So If the truth is that A human’s conscience Is more complex and speculative Than that of an elk’s I could not imagine The hopelessness that a human may feel I think that first After the cuckoo of the mountain And the sound of peril comes the shock Perhaps slight profanity Confusion Analyzation Then realization That nothing can be done And that in just a few moments, Run as fast as you can But You will, in fact Be nothing
