Remembering
A wise man once told me He chose his parents As I did mine. Dad would say that. He then asked me: “Do you know the first Law of the Universe?” I didn’t then. “It goes like this: If you want something, First give it to another.” Unforgettable. I tried giving money, It just flowed away That law works better With time, love and respect. Some teach desire Leads to suffering He taught pleasure Paved the true path: “When it feels good, right, Trust your knowing-feeling Despite not knowing How you know something.” He knows how To stand his ground, Yielding only To better reason. Our minds can’t deceive When we listen to Voices in the silence Of thoughtless peace. Here, souls grow Like flowers Remembering We're part of one whole. Essential, Inseparable, Irrepressible, Eternal. 21st May, 2016
