Bring Back My Sight
When I lost all that I have, I hit the booze all day and night I ran across the corn field under the moonlight, Wondering what happened to my sight I used to see you round the clock, In front of me or just simply in my memory I used to wake up to your smiles, Opening my eyes I see you in delight But now I have gone subtly scared, To the years that passed by I grew afraid And maybe it's because I don't see you anymore So please baby, would you bring back my sight? I knew I hit the jackpot, When you agreed for our first date The folks in town said you've never had one before So I took the challenge and locked your eyes to mine But now buried in my memories, Are our ice cream and pillow fights Tears running through my face Are missed cuddles and hugs I have gone subtly scared, To the years that passed by I grew afraid And maybe it's because I don't see you anymore So please baby, would you bring back my sight?
