What Will Be Remembered
When never to come back you go No one will mention you had a big toe Not even the beauty of your nails will be said But it will be remembered, you were the kindest maid When life's breath you do abandon And on the journey of your forefathers you partake It will not be remembered you had missing teeth But the therapy of your warm smile on wintry days When this world you leave without a bye And in the darkest of nights you dissolve like a dye At the wake of dawn seven years later A mother embraces her son with a tear of joy for the kidney you gave When that day you bid farewell to the living And a great fortune for your lineage you leave It will not be recounted, that mammoth crowds followed your political campaigns But the justice you stood tall for, when that primary school's land was being grabbed When to the heavens you soar And you let go of the feeble strength you held unto for so long It will not be remembered that you had no breast But that you fought that cancer so bravely
