Distance
As the years and the memories slowly fade away. The dust from my travels have become a stone grey. Spent most of my life running from what, I don't know. Maybe it was the fear I felt from trying to let go. Still trying to out distance...the distance I've put... between me and the distance...I can't seem to escape. I couldn't look around and I couldn't look back. I had to keep pushing to out distance the maniac. He was always right behind me, right on my heels. I was always on the move, always spinning my wheels. Still trying to out distance...the distance I've put... between me and the distance...I can't seem to escape. He finally caught up with me in a little nowhere town. As he came at me swinging I fell straight into a breakdown. The face I saw coming at me filled me full of fear. It was the same face I see when I look into the mirror. Still trying to out distance...the distance I've put... between me and the distance...I can't seem to escape.
