The Smell of Spring
The smell of spring invigorates the air when winter's breath is unable to freeze, and a gilded sun melts away despair. As you thank the Lord in silent prayer surrounded by budding flowers and trees, the smell of spring invigorates the air. Life starts to blossom with color and flare as sweet aromas perfume every breeze, and a gilded sun melts away despair. Green patches start sprouting up everywhere and as saplings start unfolding their leaves, the smell of spring invigorates the air. Daffodils start popping through here and there gambling that spring's arrival's not a tease, and a gilded sun melts away despair. A treat for the senses, fragrant and rare, one whiff and your tensions begin to ease. The smell of spring invigorates the air, and a gilded sun melts away despair. (Villanelle) 4/28/2016
