Lost
I miss me, That one person that I used to be, So happy and full of life, So sure of the future, Never doubting who I was going to be. I don't even know who it is that I see, Staring straight back at me from reflected glass, I want so much for these dark days to pass, I just want my old life back. Who am I? What will I become, And why am I so damn confused? This life is a joke, But It's really not funny. It feels like I've been lying to myself, And now I'm alone with my thoughts, Because I never open up, Never spill my guts to anyone, Not even myself. I feel so lost in life, Always second guessing every move I make, Everything I do feels like a mistake, And I hear the same old thing, Every day that I'm alive, I'm surprised it takes me this long to break down and cry. My body no longer feels warm, Instead It's just a husk of what I used to be, And I still hate myself, I'm tired of this facade, That I've been putting on for far too long, All I am is all that remains.
