Everywhere
I tried to dress up I tried to go out But everywhere I turned He appeared Every little truck was blue Every voice was his Every song I heard Everyone that walked in the door Couldn't focus Couldn't think straight Couldn't shoot a simple game of pool Every time my phone rang My heart stopped And every time it wasn't him My heart broke And when the bartender asked where he was I just wanted to hit my knees Couldn't even go out for a night So I brought myself back to this empty house I laid down in this empty bed And I lost it Every car that went down the road Sounded like it pulled in the driveway Every car door that shut I had to remind myself It wasn't him I had to make myself get up And try to clean my face But when I looked in the mirror All I saw Was the reason he's gone And I lost it all over again How do u make the pain go away How do u stop replaying the good times How do u fill the emptiness u feel inside I try not to txt I try not to call But after all this time It's just not that easy to do I'm sorry
