As Always
I woke up in the fresh delight of sadness, a perfect start for a winter. There was a coffee left on the counter, there was a breakfast served for one. I can still remember everything since the day you left. You left me asleep under the comfort of our linen blanket, while you were working with your escape. I never knew why'd you left, but I guess there's no reason to know. Since that day, everything you left was unmoved. Everything was still in its original position. I let it all happen for your surprising comeback, maybe? The keys in the drawer, the coffee stain on the table. The comb on the sofa, the opened television. And also me, covered under the sheets of your adieu. Everything is still the same if ever you change your mind. I know you're still in a long way journey, looking for something which you think is missing. And if you feel tired and feel you're already lost, the home you left before is still and will always be the home that welcomes you, with me standing at the front door, with arms wide open.
