One Night With You
I watch the sunrise with you as your hair glows red. The beach the sounds of the sea in both of our heads. The twinkle in your eyes as you beam a smile. We did enjoy the stars in the night. As we lay on the sand. Hand in hand. We told our dreams as the shooting stars went past. But the dream as we kissed…… We said was to hope this moment would always last. And yet as I hug you close We both knew we had to go. Back to a life with so much endless strife. You want to be free but you’re some ones wife. I wish I was such a brave soul to help you walk away. From such unhappiness everyday. But you are set in your ways. You can’t see through the haze. Of what makes us so good together. We should be lovers forever. But your priorities are so strong. Your Kids come first or it would be wrong. The tears run down my face. As I watch you disappear in the sea mist. I know it will hurt all the days. Even though we only knew each other one night. I pound the sand with my bare fist. You gave my heart more beats. In one night with your touch your love your lips. I get up and walk back to my destiny. A life alone without a warm home. To sleep as one and not be with you. That would be my dream for us to be two. But without knowing from where you came. I only have always myself to blame.
