Behind Closed Eyes
Once sheltered from the Beaming rays of dawn, Closed eyelids view the Multi-colored hues. First seen, bright aqua Blended with chartreuse, Then divine peach which Crimson fades into. A green like no earthly Color I have seen Lingers and I am Consumed with delight, Feeling that glorious Shade penetrate Into my body and Soul’s inner sight. A spark of pink soon Appears to ignite And morphs into a fuchsia Floral bloom. . . A peaceful shade To meditate upon. Relax in Nature’s fresh air In warm sun Should you desire to bathe In rainbow’s light. Each color vibrates To a musical note And with them all, my Joyous soul takes flight. © Connie Marcum Wong Note: I wrote this poem after bathing in the sun on our deck with my eyes closed as these enchanted colors appeared.
