Once Bitten
You bleed black blood, Once bitten by death. You know the ache That rips through your chest; But there you stood, Half scared to death, Trying to scream,  running out of breath. And as you fell To your knees, you regret Wasting what little time you had left. You lost your mind deep inside your head. You bled black blood. But you can sure as hell, Bet that you'll, Be there again. Pushing it's fangs, into your veins, And letting it sink in. growing so far, from your family and friends. All the drugs and missed hugs lead to a bitter end. The venom destroys Any coherent thoughts. You'd die for this feeling You could've forgot. And now you're content, To sit and rot, In this cage of rage, And hollow thoughts. But you can sure as hell, Bet that you'll, Be there again. Pushing it's fangs, into your veins, letting it sink in. When that snake you take, Crawls into your arm, The needle threads a hole, Through more than just your heart. You have a chance, You have a choice, You have a reason to live. You had a plan, But lost your voice, And now you're bleeding again. You thought a man, Could never stand, For such a lack of good. I guess that's life, Because that night, There you f***ing stood. You bleed black blood. You bleed black blood. And you can sure as hell, Bet that you'll, Be there again. Pushing it's fangs, into your veins, Letting it sink in. When that snake You take, Crawls under your skin, You further wet the eyes, Of your beloved kin.
