Landing within crowded streets, Where sweaty cops brave the beat, It is never the enemy we see, For they look just like you & me. They shoot from the wings, Like puppets on strings, Not human beings, As the chorus sings. Soldiers fall within the crowd, Beneath a looming mushroom cloud, They fought hard and so proud, Against hidden fearless cowards. What can I possibly say, To my loving kids each gruelling day, "Justice shall come" as they say, But we sit tight and quietly pray.
