In blissful thoughts and reverie, I whiled away a pleasant morn. I spied a robin in a tree; No longer was my mood forlorn. I wandered down a country lane, Uplifted and my faith restored. In spite of gloom and pouring rain My heart was light, my spirits soared. When all at once I saw a farm, A flock of sheep in nearby field. I marvelled at the simple charm That Nature graciously revealed. I watched them as they grazed in peace, In mossy fields of autumn green. All snug and warm in coats of fleece, So sweet of face with loving mien. I took a picture, lost in thought; Such memories are meant to last. I found the peace that I had sought; Serenity, the spell was cast.
