Values Our lives. Dense with the ever-flowing routine of life. It is less often that we find ourselves pondering of that which we truly believe in. Well this is what I believe. I believe faith is what keeps us alive. The sometimes, unconscious feelings towards something. The things that really matter, and the things that give us meaning. I believe we focus too much on what has, and what will happen. I believe we don’t focus enough on what is, happening, right now! I believe that each individual’s pasts are covered in what we like to call “imperfections,” and I believe that we focus too hard on what is wrong with our lives rather than what is right. I believe that the phrase, “we don’t know what we have until it’s gone” shapes the cliché of the human race. I believe that the wealthiest people are those who appreciate what they have, regardless of the amount. I also believe that it is all worth nothing without love. I believe God watches over everyone. I believe we have the privilege of his listening ears and the priceless gift of his sincerity. I believe he gives us everything that we have today, but he gave us the responsibility to choose what we do with it. I believe that the word, “love” is more than just four letters that no one really understands. I believe that the hindrance of not knowing is what makes love that much more special. I believe we cannot appreciate love until it has been taken away. I also believe that love hurts too much, but in the end, it is all worth it. I believe that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, and that is what the challenge of finding love is. I believe the classic song, “Each rose has a thorn” may be true, but I believe that, that is looking at it in a pessimistic way. I believe that it should be, “Every thorn has its rose,” looking at it in a less negative way. It is a lot like the saying, “Every cloud has a silver lining.” I believe that the good things in life, may be in the minority, but it is not the quantity that makes them out-weigh the bad, or not so good things. It is how special they are that makes them all count. I believe that an individual cannot be defined by how they look, or how they act in front of their peers. I believe that it takes a whole lot of talking and listening the even remotely understand any given individual. I believe that judgement is important. I also believe that we should not let our judgement cloud how we see other people. I believe everyone deserves at least one chance, and if they do not succeed, that the willingness to forgive them is something that you should be proud of. In conclusion, I believe that life is a game of snakes and ladders. We are all wishing to make the big steps, and sometimes we can, but life is always going to be there, God is always going to be there to pull us back to where we are meant to be.
