Seeing the Manger
On a cold and crisp winter night there in a manger He would lay A star above burning bright baby Jesus coming to us in this way But a swaddling cloth to wrap Him in the Holy Family all alone God's Savior for all of OUR sin and oh! how His Glory has shone There were no celebrations and not even one welcoming hand This the King of every nation but they too couldn't understand For that night it was there He slept as all of the Heavens sung Every promise the Father has kept thus sending His only Son Mary, Joseph, by His Side an Angel watching over from above A Glory you could not hide for our Savior was sent out of love But there surrounded by just hay and the livestock all around The Savior who'll slay and save a world in complete disarray As on this quiet, peace filled night Jesus was born in a stable Under that star burning so bright the only One who was able Here to open up Heavens Gate as He lay there in a manger One shouldn't sit around and wait if one's soul is in danger Luke 2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
