And after those battles are over, the ole devil would take some more tremendous blows at you, a few spiritual black eyes and several bloody noses did occur only to name a few. Why you have done your best at boxing with him and you have tried even to keep the rules, only to find out that he doesn’t play fair and besides, he is very, very cruel. You have this bout and that one and have lost a mate, money and fame, and then slanderous stories are spread around about you causing you to lose the integrity and confidence of your name. But, have you read God’s Word of how Israel accomplished the greatest of their battles, David defeating one of Israel’s worst enemies, the Philistine army without his nerves even getting too rattled.
