Then and only for a while other things took first place in my heart, till I recognized that I’d left my first love and knew for Him I would have to make a fresh start. We serve an awesome God so gracious and always ready for a repentant soul to forgive, but know that He expects in us a willing spirit and a more holy life for Him should we live. Now, His face I continually seek and His footsteps I follow oh so close, for I don’t want to lose track of Him only to travel down some other dead end road.
