Today I Found Me
Yesterday my dad said i can be a doctor Yesterday my mom was sure i'll end being a lawyer I solved so many cases in my young whether in play or reality That i wanted to be like one of those characters in Agatha Christie's novels The investigators and the crime solvers In my teen, i just wanted to run away from home for good My destination was the northern Kenya where people died of hunger I wanted to be that one doctor there who provided medical care and taught preventions and cures I also wanted to end up in Kibera, the largest slum in kenya Live like the people Live among the people Do missionary work I never run away, atleast not for good I passed KCSE, Kenya highschool examination with flying colors And went to college In college, i was a free bird So far away from protective rules I met friends and did many college stuff That college kids do, well most college kids There were fun times, and lots of heartbreaks I cried a lot, my tender heart was learning life the hard way I missed classes, i failed in a few classes and i became a professional liar Then life literally happened College was over, so quick it seemed I had done my three jobs and i was aiming for one job It was a job to survive, not necessarily a job to love It's been a couple years I am more mature now I see life in 3d's and 4d's I've had my shares I say, i've learnt my lessons I know my limits I know my goals I still have the girl in me that wanted to do missionary work and help the poor and the sick The passion is still on, the love still shines My success is my love, my success is my passion
