You're ubiquitous white noise, though invisible to all. And much like yesterday's toys, you're left to lie where you fall. As your days pass, one by one, anxiety dims Hope's light. And you yearn to feel the sun, jealous of the moon at night. Dreams are where you go to hide, when everything falls apart. For there: fears are set aside, long enough to calm your heart. It's a struggle to survive, when forced to paddle upstream. And to prove you're still alive, there are times you need to scream. Death will cut your earthly ties, like a teardrop in the sea. And after final goodbyes, who will shed a tear but me?
